The latest season of the Pokemon anime adaptation is coming this June with an English dub, exclusively on Netflix.
Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for Pokemon Journeys: The Series, in which Pokemon Trainer Ash Ketchum and his trusty Pikachu are tasked with a new research mission to Vermilion City. Ash and Pikachu befriend a fellow Trainer named Gou, partnered with a Scorbunny, as they set out to become the very best.
The original Japanese-language version premiered in Japan this past November, with the latest season of the anime series taking place in all eight regions, including the British-themed Galar region first introduced in Pokemon Sword & Shield. With this overarching scope, the trailer features a blend of classic and new generation Pokemon encountered by the Trainers.
Production on new episodes in Japan has temporarily been suspended due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. While this has affected the broadcast of new episodes in Japan, it is currently unclear how this will impact the release of English-dubbed episodes in North America.
