Crunchyroll announced it will be streaming the second season of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S this July. The new season will be available for streaming to Crunchyroll subscribers residing in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
Originally created as a manga series by Coolkyousinnjya and adapted into an anime by Kyoto Animation, the first season of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid follows the aforementioned Miss Kobayashi -- an office worker -- as she takes in a female dragon named Tohru as her roommate after saving Tohru's life. Miss Kobayashi later employs Tohru as her own personal maid, which the dragon happily accepts, but her unconventional housekeeping methods prove a bit too terrifying for Miss Kobayashi. In addition to dealing with the antics of her dragon roommate, Tohru's presence also attracts other dragons to Miss Kobayashi's home, such as Kanna, Lucoa, Fafnir and Elma.
The first season of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid originally aired on Tokyo MX, TVA, ABC and BS11 in Japan and streamed on Crunchyroll in early 2017. The second season was originally announced in February 2019, though production on the second season was delayed following the Kyoto Animation arson attack that took place that same year. The Kyoto Animation attack also resulted in the tragic death of Yasuhiro Takemoto, who was the original director of the first season. Season 2 is now being directed by Tatsuya Ishihara, with Taketmoto still credited as the series director
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Season 1 is available for streaming on Crunchyroll, with an English dub version available on Funimation. Season 2 will premiere in both Japan and on Crunchyroll worldwide in July.
