Having initially started out as a villain in Dragon Ball Z, the Saiyan Prince Vegeta eventually became one of the most beloved characters in the franchise, due in large part to his complicated and interesting character arc. However, that doesn't mean Vegeta has always been perfect. In fact, sometimes he's failed pretty hard. In this new video, we're going to go through ten such times Vegeta epically failed in the Dragon Ball franchise.
We're starting out with something from his earliest appearance. Thanks to his Great Ape form, Vegeta came incredibly close to beating Goku. However, the villain was unable to pull the trigger and take the hero down for good. Instead, Yajirobe intervened, cutting off Vegeta's tail and causing the Great Ape form to disappear. While Yajirobe isn't known for his bravery, this act may just have saved all of his friends, as it left Vegeta open and vulnerable to attacks. The Z-Fighters were able to beat him in large part because of this, with a Great Ape Gohan falling on him. While Vegeta survives, this was a pretty humiliating fight for him.

Dragon Ball Super was the most recent installment in the franchise, not counting the original net animation Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Although it's unclear just when -- or if -- the series will return, the Dragon Ball franchise is popular, so it's unlikely to stay gone for long. The manga currently expands on the ending of Dragon Ball Super, taking Goku and Vegeta into space to fight against the energy-absorbing Moro. However, it's unclear if the anime will pull from that plotline in the future.
