VIDEO: Dragon Ball Super’s Next Movie Could Bring in THIS OP Villain

After a long hiatus, Dragon Ball Super is finally set to return with a movie: Super Hero. However, there's still a lot we don't know about the film, including who will serve as the villain. Series creator Akira Toriyama has, for his part, said that an unexpected character will return, but we don't at this time know just who that is. In this video, we're going to go through three possible antagonists for the upcoming film, with a specific focus on Moro.

Introduced in Dragon Ball Super Chapter 43, Moro is an ancient villain who was defeated by the predecessor of Majin Buu, the Grand Supreme Kai. In addition to magic, Moro is able to absorb the energy of others, and his main goal sees him consuming worlds for their power. His story is also fairly unique, moving Dragon Ball Super along in a big way. After he gets free from the Galactic Patrol, Moro uses the Dragon Balls to restore his old powers and bests the Z-Fighters in several battles. While the Z-Fighters are able to overcome Moro in the end, the energy-absorbing villain nearly destroys Earth. While what we know about Super Hero indicates there'd be some big changes to the arc in the manga, it's still possible Moro may appear in some capacity.

Check out the video below for more information on Moro and the other two villains we think might play a role in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super film.

Created by Akira Toriyama in 1984, the Dragon Ball franchise is one of anime's most successful properties. Over the decades, the original Dragon Ball manga has received several sequel series, including Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super and the non-canon Dragon Ball GT. While there's no indication that the Dragon Ball Super anime series will return anytime soon, the franchise's next movie is slated for 2022.
