Two Detective Conan Spin-Offs to Get Anime Adaptations! | Anime News | Tokyo Otaku Mode (TOM) Shop: Figures & Merch From Japan

Anime adaptations are officially underway for Zero’s Teatime and The Culprit Hanzawa, two spin-off series from the iconic Detective Conan/ Case Closed franchise!

The two projects are part of the celebrations for the 100th volume of Detective Conan, which hits shelves on October 18.

Originally a manga by Gosho Aoyama, Detective Conan revolves around high school detective Shinichi Kudo, who looks like a small child due to being poisoned by the mysterious Black Organisation.

Written and illustrated by Takahiro Arai, Zero’s Teatime depicts the daily life of popular detective Toru Amuro and each of his three guises.

Meanwhile, The Culprit Hanzawa is a gag manga by Mayuko Kanba, following the silhouette figure who stands in for the mystery “criminal” in the main Detective Conan manga.

Details on both project's cast, staff, and release date are yet to come.
