Popular YouTuber and musician Corpse Husband will make his voice-acting debut in the English dub of the new action sci-fi anime, Tribe Nine.
Corpse Husband expressed his excitement over his upcoming role to his 3.8 million Twitter followers, stating that he could not ask for a better gateway into anime voice-acting. He will be playing Oujiro Otori, a mysterious masked villain who threatens the stability and safety of the futuristic Minato City. Corpse Husband joins voice actors such as Jacob Hopkins (To Your Eternity) playing Shun Kamiya, Casey Mongillo (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN) playing Haru Shirokane, Phillip Sacramento playing Taiga and Brittney Karbowski (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood) playing Saori Arisugawa in the show's English dub.

Tribe Nine is a multimedia franchise created by Kazutaka Kodaka, the mind behind the iconic video game series Danganronpa. The franchise consists of an anime television series produced by Liden Films and directed by Yu Aoki (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga) which began airing on Jan. 10. It is set in the year 20XX, a dystopian future where young people have formed tribes and ravaged the streets of Neo-Tokyo due to growing violence and group loyalty. To combat the increasingly volatile state of the city, the government establishes the "XB Law," which states that all disputes between conflicting tribes are to be settled by games of "Extreme Baseball," a futuristic iteration of the sport monitored by robot umpires.
Tribe Nine centers around the timid Haru Shirokane who is rescued by Shun Kamiya and Taiga after he is attacked by a group of bullies. Shun, a legendary player of Extreme Baseball, recruits Haru and Taiga into the top-ranked Minato tribe after a series of circumstances leads to him spotting potential in the pair to become aces of the sport themselves. Thus begins a journey of self discovery, fast-paced action and intense battles as the threat of the Chiyoda Tribe's leader, Oujiro Otori, looms closer. A 3D action role-playing game set in Tribe Nine's world is also currently being developed by Kodaka's video game company, Too Kyo Games, for smartphones.
Viral sensation Corpse Husband rose to fame due to his music and YouTube work, and has particularly become known for his signature deep, low-pitched voice. Starting his YouTube career by narrating horror stories, Corpse Husband rose to prominence in 2020 when he began streaming and creating Let's Plays of the online multiplayer social deduction game Among Us. As of Feb. 2022, he has a total of 7.61 million subscribers on YouTube.
