Tomorrowland Winter has been cancelled over coronavirus concerns

The Tomorrowland Winter 2020 edition has been forced into cancellation by the French government due to fears about the spread coronavirus, which is ficially been named as COVID-19.

The festival has released an ficial statement online, writing: “The French Government is taking drastic measures regarding the COVID-19 virus in France. Therefore they are enforcing the cancellation large events, bringing together people from different nationalities on closed festival grounds and event locations.”

Tomorrowland Winter was due to take place across March 14 to 21 in the Alpe d’Huez resort. The ski area will remain open and fully functional for all visitors, but the music festival will not go ahead.

Artists set to play included Charlotte de Witte, Martin Garrix and Solardo.

The news follows Miami’s Ultra event which was reported as cancelled yesterday by the Miami Herald.
