Tom Zeta debuts on Super Flu’s Monaberry imprint with five-tracker ‘Sa Ca La‘

Exciting new live artist and drummer Tom Zeta (Diynamic, Mobilee) releases his debut EP for Super Flu’s Monaberry imprint. Starting out as a drummer, Zeta now uses live drums when performing his highly danceable percussive techno with its spacey vibe and industrial motifs.

Spotted early by Solomun, who played his demos, released his ‘Cargo’ EP on Diynamic, and is already playing ‘Sa Ca La’ at Ibiza openings, the Dutch musician has since garnered further support from the likes of Pete Tong, Super Flu, and Joris Voorn.

Hon Hon Hon‘s mighty, complex percussion and distorted hissing notes enriched by a robotic vocal calling for acknowledgement of joy create an alien industrial soundscape reminiscent of a heavier, punchier Kraftwerk. Tailwind simultaneously holds you pinned and keeps you dancing with merciless drums, mysterious vocal interventions and high, clear synths.

Sa Ca La: the title track is fast, pacy, with a rattling beat heavy with hi-hat, deep bass notes and twanging echoes. You get the bonus of a boys be kko remix too. Casi Listo‘s lively rat-a-tat beat and complex layers of synth notes give a more jazzy, upbeat feel, with a pizzicato breakdown leading to a full-on, take no prisoners drum-fest.

Drumming at nine years old, at fifteen, Zeta started experimenting with electronic music, adding synthesisers and analogue gear to his passion for percussion. He obtained a BA in composition and music technology at the highly acclaimed HKU in Utrecht and now gets feet pounding dancefloors worldwide.
