Anime fans will soon be able to interact with Crunchyroll's very own princess-mascot in a brand new way as Crunchyroll-Hime launches her very own YouTube channel.
A trailer has been uploaded to announce Hime's new channel, which will launch on Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT. After that, she will stream every Tuesday and Thursday to discuss the latest news in anime, gaming and more. During the streams, anime fans will be able to ask Hime questions using the #HimeLive hastag on Twitter or by commenting in the stream chat. Fans can also receive a special shoutout from Crunchyroll's princess by posting fan art with the #DrawHime tag. The mascot will also hold monthly AniMarathons, where she will curate and host a special block of anime programming.
Popular TikTok star Kristine Fel is helping develop Crunchyroll-Hime's channel. She specializes in short-form animation and previously worked with the streaming service to bring the princess-mascot to life for the 2021 Anime Awards.
This new YouTube channel isn't the only way Crunchyroll-Hime interacts with the anime community. She also has her own weekly comic strip, The Daily Life of Crunchyroll-Hime, and is also coming to TikTok.
Crunchyroll is one of the largest anime streaming services in the world with over five million subscribers and 120 million users. The company previously announced that it will add numerous new titles to its service this fall, including The Faraway Paladin and Build Divide -#00000 (Code Black)-.
