ODDTAXI Blu-ray Campaign Ends with Over 6,000 Pre-orders

A Blu-ray release for the critically acclaimed ODDTAXI has been confirmed, thanks to successful pre-order campaign.

According to ODDTAXI's official Twitter account, a total of 6,038 Blu-ray sets were pre-ordered, which is more than 20 times the minimum amount (300 sets) required by the pre-order campaign in order to guarantee production of the sets. The producers of the series previously announced that, due to a declining market for physical media, the sleeper-hit series would not receive a Blu-ray release unless they could guarantee a certain amount of preorders in advance. The campaign also included several stretch goals for bonus items, which were all met during the campaign's pre-order period; this means that in addition to the anime itself, the Blu-ray sets will now also include a staff artbook, an original picture, a new character song, a soundtrack outtake CD, a Donraku eraser, audio commentaries and a "cute" figure of main character Odokawa.
