Nure returns to her label Intention Music with a special reworks release that sees her classic track “Onna” get two new remixes by techno legends Teenage Mutants and A*S*Y*S.
Based in France, Nure is a talented producer who along with her many solo tracks has collaborated with the Cosmic Boys in addition to releasing music on their label Legend.
Onna was originally released in 2019 and the new remixes add driving percussion to the original’s epic melodies and deep atmospherics.
A*S*Y*S is a veteran techno artist who has been releasing music since the ’90s. The success of his productions earned him DJ sets at major festivals and events ranging from Time Warp to Tomorrowland, and his music is regularly supported by the likes of Amelie Lens, Adam Beyer and UMEK. He is best known for tracks and remixes on his own label Fe Chrome, but has also featured on other influential imprints such as Filth on Acid, Suara and Autektone.
Teenage Mutants are a German duo who have risen to the top of the global techno scene with the help of their many top-selling releases on labels such as 1605, Codex, Set About, Tronic and Terminal M. Known for their explosive percussion and enthralling melodies, their tracks exude a peak time energy that always whips the dance floor into a frenzy of excitement.
The original version of Onna received DJ support from many influential club spinners, and these new reworks lift the intensity to a whole new level.
The A*S*Y*S remix of Onna opens the release with its chunky percussion and booming kick drum, which makes a strong foundation for euphoria of the original’s melody parts. After setting the scene and lulling the listener into false sense of confidence, the track then explodes with an in-your-face lead synth and acid line in A*S*Y*S’s trademark style.
Next up is the Teenage Mutant’s remix of Onna, which has industrial percussion and a dystopian vibe. Its gritty aesthetic is built around driving percussion and a grinding bassline that takes hold in the epic breakdown before the percussion slams back in. This dark and eerie remix is in stark contrast to the euphoria of the original.
