Clif Jack set to release ‘Impervium’ on Deborah De Luca’s label Solamente

Deborah De Luca’s record label Solamente welcomes a dark and acidic techno EP from Italian artist Clif Jack.

Clif Jack is an artist from the city of Padova who has previously features tracks and remixes on other high flaying techno imprints such as Simina Grigoriu’s Kuukou Records.

He is well-known in his local club scene for playing events and clubs like Il Muretto, Extra Extra and Musica-Riccione where he has played alongside guests such as Pan-Pot, Amelie Lens, Derrick May, Chris Liebing, Luigi Madonna, Marco Faraone and many others.

Many also know Clif Jack for the show he used to host on Ibiza Global Radio, and his tracks have been played in the DJ sets of people ranging from Richie Hawtin to Nicole Moudaber.

“Impervium” opens the EP with its rumbling sub bass, thrashing hi-hats and pounding kick drum, before the pulsating acid-line takes control in the build up to the tantalising suspense of the breakdown. Its hypnotic groove is augmented by gritty vocal textures that add to its intense dance floor vibe.

“Think Believe Dream Rave” has ravey synth stabs and galloping percussion that combine to create a hands in the air groove with explosive energy, while its seductive vocals add an eerie tension to the brooding atmosphere. Reaching a crescendo with the twisted euphoria of the main breakdown, things lift up a gear when the drums come crashing back in.
