The new illustrations were released through the official My Hero Academia twitter account to promote the anime's on-going fifth season. The first image showcases Hawks, also known as Keigo Takami, as he appears in the anime. The second image features Endeavor, the father of Class 1-A's Shoto Todoroki and currently the world's number one ranked hero. The image depicts Endeavor in his updated costume, which he received after All Might's retirement. Both characters play a major role in the current season of the anime, with Hawks seeking to stop the Meta Liberation Army while Endeavor trains Midoriya and Bakugo to make full use of their potential.

My Hero Academia's fifth season premiered in March and is currently still airing. The anime is directed by Kenji Nagasaki, who also directed all 3 My Hero Academia movies, as well as other anime such as Gundam Build Fighters. The show is produced by studio Bones, best known for its work on Eureka Seven and Fullmetal Alchemist. The anime is based on the original manga, which was created by Kohei Horikoshi and began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. The series tells the story of Izuku Midoriya, a young boy without superpowers in a world where most people are born with a "Quirk," a superhuman ability unique to each individual. Despite his lack of a special ability, Izuku dreams of becoming a hero, and he finally gets his opportunity when he meets the world's most famous superhero, All Might, who entrusts Midoriya with an ability that might one day be the key to saving the world.

Since its release, My Hero Academia has become one of the most popular anime and manga series in the world, with over 50 million copies in circulation worldwide.

My Hero Academia is available for streaming on Hulu, Crunchyroll and Funimation. The manga is localized and distributed by VIZ Media in North America.
