A new trailer has been released for My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, the third movie to come out of the mega-popular shonen anime franchise.
The new trailer was uploaded to TOHO Animation's official Youtube channel and gives a better look at the new battles that Deku and his classmates will be involved in this time. The new movie is set within the same timeframe as the current arc of the anime, and the trailer showcases Deku using some of his newly awakened abilities. The new movie sees Deku being framed for mass-murder, and the heroes of Class 1-A will need to team up with new pro-heroes from around the world in order to clear Deku's name and defeat a dangerous cult that thinks the use of Quirks will eventually lead to the end of the world. The movie also features new costume designs for Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki.
The movie will be directed by Gundam: Build Fighter's Kenji Nagasaki, who also directed every season of the My Hero Academia anime, as well as the two previous films in the series. Yosuke Kuroda, best known for their work on Excel Saga, Mobile Suit Gundam: OO and Honey and Clover, is the scriptwriter for World Heroes' Mission. Animation duties are once again being handled by Eureka Seven and Fullmetal Alchemist animation studio BONES.
The My Hero Academia anime series is currently available for streaming on Hulu, Netflix, Crunchyroll and Funimation. The first film in the series, Two Heroes, is available for streaming on Netflix, while the second movie in the series, Heroes Rising, is streaming via Hulu. World Heroes' Mission will premiere in Japanese theaters on Aug. 6.
