Ms. Marvel Has a Post-Credit Scene With a Major Spider-Man: No Way Home Connection

WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for the first episode of Ms. Marvel, streaming now on Disney+.

The post-credits scene for the first episode of Disney+'s Ms. Marvel features a connection to 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The scene in question sees Arian Moayed reprising his role as the United States Department of Damage Control's Agent Cleary. In the scene, Agent Deever, played by Orange Is the New Black's Alysia Reiner, shows Cleary a video of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel using her powers at AvengersCon.

Cleary made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home. That film saw him investigating Peter Parker/Spider-Man's involvement in the Battle of London and the death of Quentin Beck/Mysterio. Cleary interrogated numerous Spider-Man allies, including Michelle Jones (Zendaya), Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) and May Parker (Marissa Tomei). Outside his role as Cleary, Moayed has had roles in TV series such as Inventing Anna and Succession.

As for Reiner, Ms. Marvel's post-credits scene marks her first appearance in the MCU and she is expected to appear in all six episodes of the show. Prior to the series premiere, a promo for the latest MCU project confirmed her and Moayed's inclusion in Kamala Khan's live-action adventure.

Ms. Marvel centers on Kamala Khan, a teenager from Jersey City who gains powers of her own. Played by Iman Vellani, Ms. Marvel won't be Khan's only appearance in the MCU, as she's currently set to appear in The Marvels, which will see her team up with Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris). Releasing on July 28, 2023, The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta.

Announced in 2019, Ms. Marvel is the latest Disney+ MCU series. The first Marvel TV show was WandaVision, which was released in 2021. Since then, there have been a number of other shows, including Hawkeye, Loki and, most recently, Moon Knight. After Ms. Marvel, the next series set for release is She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which premieres on August 17. That series will run for 9 episodes.

Created by Sana Amanat, G. Willow Wilson, Stephen Wacker, Adrian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie, Khan first appeared in 2013's Captain Marvel #14. In the comics, Khan is an Inhuman whose powers are activated by the Terrigen Mists. Her abilities allow her to stretch and alter her limbs. Ms. Marvel introduces a number of changes to her powers, much to the chagrin of many fans.
