MCU Fans Debate the Best Disney+ Marvel Shows Following Moon Knight’s Finale

As the curtains close on Moon Knight, fans are arguing which of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ series is the best one yet.

Prompted by a tweet asking enthusiasts to rank the six MCU shows, namely WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If...?, Hawkeye and Moon Knight, many have debated where Marc Spector's live-action debut fits on the list. Trends in the ranking see WandaVision and Loki represented highly across Twitter while FATWS and Hawkeye hang near the bottom of many lists. As for Moon Knight, the gritty MCU series has seemingly won over audiences as many fans are rating the series as one of the favorites.

While MCU fans are still evaluating where Moon Knight fits in their personal favorites list, critics widely praised it as one of the most intriguing and unique projects Marvel Studios has yet developed. Similar praise was thrown on WandaVision when it was released in early 2020 as audiences were captivated but its unconventional style. Despite those strong reactions, many fans felt that the show lost stream as it hurtled towards its climax.

The reverse was true for Hawkeye, which many felt struggled with a slow start that picked up the pace in the final batch of episodes. This was in no small part due to the inclusion of Vincent D'Onofrio's return as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, a character fans have been desperate to see in the MCU. Falcon and the Winter Solider received positive reviews for its compelling character arcs but many felt these powerful moments were defeated by a bloated narrative.

As for Loki, Tom Hiddleston's god of mischief garnered almost universal praise for its standout aesthetic and wide-spanning consequences on the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe. What If...? was also widely lauded for its animation style and fun storylines that showcased the MCU in an entirely unique light, even if many fans grew weary of Tony Stark's brutal treatment in the series.

While Moon Knight proved to be a hit for Marvel Studios, it's currently unknown when fans will see the Fist of Khonshu again. Star Oscar Isaac recently confirmed that there are no plans for a Season 2, insisting that the team always set out to create a limited series. You know, I think we approached it as 'this is the story'," said Isaac. "And let's just put everything out on the table on this story. There’s definitely no official plans to continue it. I think it would depend on what the story is."
