WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Love of Kill Episode 6, "Dark Dream," now streaming on Crunchyroll.
Chateau Noble's persistent admirer Song Ryang-Ha doesn't want to leave Chateau's side under any circumstances, to the point of boarding the cruise ship Artemisia to be with her in recent episodes. By now, Ryang-Ha and Chateau's protective boss, Euripedes Ritzland, have come to an understanding, but that won't save either of them.
A mysterious blond boy boarded the Artemisia soon after Ryang-Ha, and earlier episodes made it clear that this boy is up to no good. Hou may have failed to kill Chateau or Ryang-Ha, but this boy is a dire threat to Euripedes and Ryang-Ha, and he's ready to make his move. Even Ryang-Ha may be too late to save the day this time.
Aboard the Artemisia, Ryang-Ha joins Chateau in her room and spends the night, and Chateau's co-workers take this opportunity to monitor Ryang-Ha and learn more about him. Ryang-Ha stays on his best behavior, although he does annoy Chateau and carries her to the bed so she can finally get some sleep while Ryang-Ha takes the couch. Euripedes and Jim can tell that Ryang-Ha cares deeply about Chateau, but Jim has no idea why, and more importantly, neither does Chateau. Neither Ryang-Ha nor Euripedes explains anything to Chateau -- in fact, Euripedes wants to keep Chateau in the dark, and he speaks privately to Ryang-Ha on the phone to protect those secrets.
Finally, after an uneventful day aboard the Artemisia, Euripedes invites Ryang-Ha to speak with him out on the ship's deck, and Ryang-Ha leaves Chateau's side at last to meet him. However, the mysterious blond boy gets there first, stabbing Euripedes in the neck and leaving him for dead -- if Euripedes isn't dead already. Ryang-Ha may be too late to save Euripedes' life, and whatever Euripedes was going to tell him may forever remain a mystery. Chateau and Jim don't yet know what's happening, and they are too late to help. Someone wants to keep Euripedes quiet, and they aren't above using lethal force. This is worse than anything Hou did to get back at Ryang-Ha in earlier episodes.
It's unlikely that the assassin wants Euripedes dead for personal reasons. Rather, their motives must tie into the secrets behind Song Ryang-Ha and his connection to Chateau Noble, and Euripedes is in the way. Whoever sent the blond boy on the Artemisia mission must have business with Ryang-Ha and/or Chateau, and if that person steps out of the shadows, the connection between Ryang-Ha and Chateau may become clear at last. It's not yet certain why Ryang-Ha is so protective of Chateau and where Chateau came from, but it almost seems Ryang-Ha owes Chateau or her family a favor, and protecting her is his way of repaying that debt. Whatever Euripedes wants to tell Ryang-Ha must be highly sensitive information that could change everything for them.
If Ryang-Ha and Chateau never learn what Euripedes knows, this may slow down their relationship, and Chateau may remain suspicious of Ryang-Ha and his motives. She doesn't take anything he says or does at face value, and she certainly doesn't return his amorous feelings for her at this point. With Euripedes out of the picture, Chateau's and Ryang-Ha's relationship may become strained unless they can face Euripedes' attacker together and take him down, then move on to whoever sent that assassin in the first place. Whatever may happen after this, it's sure to put Chateau and Ryang-Ha's relationship to the test. It's up to them now to make everything right, without Euripedes to protect and guide them.
