How to Acquire Concetta Caciotta in Vampire Survivors

Vampire Survivors is one of the few indie games that attest to small beginnings leading to great accomplishments. Envisioned as a roguelike bullet hell, this inherently modest title with simple mechanics and pixelated visuals saw a substantial rise in popularity over the past couple of months. As Vampire Survivors' player base steadily grew, developer poncle released several updates that fixed some gameplay issues, often introducing new characters and items along the way. Among the latest arrivals is Concetta Caciotta, a mysterious figure whose rock 'n' roll skills are worth acquiring.

Aside from a somewhat quirky name that makes for a fitting addition to the unique roster of vampire survivors, players should consider unlocking Concetta because of her passive bonuses. The character comes equipped with a +1% Area effect with every level gained, a 20% increase in movement speed and a 10% boost for the Curse stat. With no cap on Concetta's Area bonus and a bolstered movement, her signature weapon, Shadow Pinion, works wonders against waves of undead mobs while shredding them to pieces -- quite literally.

Like several other unlockable characters, Concetta awaits her timely rescue inside a coffin. Since she is situated somewhere within the game's fourth stage, players will have to reach level 60 in the Dairy Plant if they wish to try their hand at scouring the inside of Gallo Tower. Fortunately, the mandatory exploration of the third stage will eventually lead the players to the Milky Way Map, which will prove invaluable in locating Concetta.

Rescuing the rock 'n' roll queen from the confines of Gallo Tower does not require any extensive preparation. Most characters will do, as long as the players are comfortable with their AoE range. After starting the stage, hitting the Pause button will reveal the map of Gallo Tower and the location of the Bracer. No markers indicating Concetta's whereabouts will be visible at this point, so players should head in the direction of the Bracer icon.

Continuously moving upward past the waves of increasingly difficult mobs will ultimately take the players to the Bracer, at which point they should consult the map one more time. A white question mark in the northern reaches of the area should be present, and following its trail will allow the players to uncover Concetta's approximate location. Although she will not be in the immediate vicinity of her marker, environmental clues will allude to a secret portal that teleports the players to her paltry prison.

If the players have kept to the right-hand side of the screen on their way to Concetta's location marker, they should look for a fireplace. West of the fireplace lies a glistening mirror, animated with pulsating light and a bat hovering next to it. Interacting with the mirror will spawn the players inside a small room with a coffin near the south wall. As soon as they approach the coffin, a band of Giant Red Knights will surround them with several Dragon Shrimps following suit. Taking too long to dispose of the mobs will result in additional adversaries appearing, such as the troublesome Giant Magus.

Upon eliminating all surrounding enemies, walking into the coffin will trigger a cutscene informing the players that Concetta has become available. Navigating to the Character Selection will reveal her blackened silhouette, indicating that she needs to be purchased first. After parting with 3,200 Gold, the musical prodigy will be ready for her very first showdown using Shadow Pinion.

Unlike other weapons in Vampire Survivors, the mechanics of Concetta's electric guitar might take some time to get used to and master. Shadow Pinion spawns small drills in the background as the character walks around, only to initiate a full-blown attack in the direction the character is facing after it comes to a stop. The weapon's efficacy is strengthened by the character's movement speed, making Concetta an excellent choice for disposing of hordes of mobs and speedy leveling. Furthermore, Shadow Pinion can be evolved into the more powerful Valkyrie Turner, and its shredding power is accessible to other playable characters after surviving a 15-minute onslaught as Concetta.
