Good Smile Opens Orders for New Attack On Titan, Gurren Lagann Figures

New figures from within Good Smile Company's Pop Up Parade line are now available for pre-order, including figurines representing Attack on Titan and Gurren Lagann.

The latest entries to join the affordable-yet-detailed Pop Up Parade line are Attack on Titan's Eren, featured here in his fearsome Titan form; Team Dai Gurren's fearless leader Kamina from Gurren Lagann; and Nekopara's Maple in her Patisserie La Soleil uniform. Kamina joins fellow Gurren Lagann hero Simon and Konosuba's magical rival Yunyun, who were both previously announced. All of the stated figures are available for pre-order directly through Good Smile Company for $38.99 each, and will be released in January 2022.

Pop Up Parade represents Good Smile Company's attempt to create a middle-class of figures that exist between the two current main categories of anime statues: the mass produced and budget-friendly prize figures, which usually retail anywhere between $20-40 USD, and the far more expensive but much more detailed scale figures, which can cost hundreds of dollars each. Good Smile's mid-range line tries to balance affordability with a higher level of quality and detail than what's usually featured in cheaper figures, to varying results. Regardless, the series has become a popular for collectors on a budget and is also known for the wide variety of characters featured within the line, which ranges from popular shonen hits such as Demon Slayer, to comedies such as The Quintessential Quintuplets, and even animated series from outside of Japan, such as Chinese animated series The Master of Diabolism.

Attack on Titan fans who are looking for an outlet for their final season hype will be happy to learn that Good Smile is also re-releasing its Levi and Erwin Smith poseable figures from its Figma line. The company's scale statue and Figma figure of Link from Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword are also being re-issued to coincide with the recent release of the HD remaster of that game for Nintendo Switch.
