Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 has announced that voice actress Hayashibara Megumi ( Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Ranma 1/2 ) will be joining the cast!
Hayashibara is set to play “post-human” Shimamura Takeshi, a 14-year-old boy who holds the key to the story.
The latest installment in the Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C series, SAC_2045 is the first to be animated in 3DCG. It is co-directed by S.A.C’s Kamiyama Kenji and Appleseed’s Aramaki Shinji, and produced by Production I.G. and Sola Digital Arts.
The series is set in 2045 in which the world has entered a state of “sustainable war” due to an economic collapse and explosion in AI technology.
Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is now streaming worldwide exclusively on Netflix, with a second season also confirmed.
