Kamiyama's directorial credits include a host of sci-fi works such as Cyborg 009: Call of Justice, Ultraman and several Ghost in the Shell series and features. Meanwhile, animation duties for Eien no 831 will be handled by CRAFTAR, with the studio's most recent original feature-length work being the 2019 romantic drama Ashita Sekai ga Owaru toshitemo.
In addition to the 12 episodes of Netflix's Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 that Kamiyama served as both writer and director on, his latest work will be seen in the upcoming Blade Runner anime spinoff, Blade Runner: Black Lotus. Kamiyama will be co-directing that series with familiar collaborator Shinji Aramaki while Sola Digital Arts (Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045) will be responsible for the animation. Yet, despite Black Lotus having been announced to debut in Canada this fall, eager viewers around the world are still waiting for an official premiere date.
