Fate/Grand Carnival Celebrates More Crossover Fun in New Trailer

Season 2 of Fate/Grand Carnival was originally supposed to premiere on Aug. 25; that release date has been pushed back, but a new trailer has been released to hold Fate fans over in the meantime.

The new season of Fate/Grand Carnival promises an ever-expanding cast of fan-favorite Servants from across TYPE-MOON's stable of series. The trailer confirms the return of several voice actors, including Rie Takahashi (Fate/Grand Order -Absolute Demonic Front: BabyloniaFate/Grand Order Final Singularity - Grand Temple of Time: Solomon) as Mash Kyrielight, Ayako Kawasumi (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade WorksFate/Zero) as Saber/Artoria Pendragon and Hikaru Midorikawa (Season 1 of Fate/Grand Carnival) as Red Hare.

Based on the trailer, it appears that the story will focus on multiple Servants battling to achieve the most followers online. As with the original Carnival PhantasmFate/Grand Carnival is a parody of the mainline Fate stories.

Seiji Kishi (Carnival PhantasmFate/Prototype) is Fate/Grand Carnival's director with Makoto Uezu (Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) overseeing the series composition and Satoki Iida (Fate/PrototypeBlue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga) supervising the sound.

Fate/Grand Carnival originally debuted Dec. 31, 2020 as part of TYPE-MOON's New Year's Eve special for that year. Season 2 is now scheduled to be released in Japan on Oct. 13 on Blu-ray and DVD. Several of the many Fate anime series are available to stream on Netflix, Hulu and Funimation.
