Face Masks On Ibiza Beaches Will Be Required By Law

Sun-worshippers and open area party goers will be forced to wear a face mask on the beach following the latest coronavirus crackdown in a holiday hotspot.

The latest tough restriction comes into force tomorrow on the Balearic Islands, which includes Ibiza,, and police officers will enforce the strict new regulations.

Beaches in the Balearics had been mask-free but it will become compulsory to wear a face covering – even while sunbathing – and this rule is expected to remain throughout the summer.

Anyone over the age of six will have to wear a mask in any outdoor public place and police will patrol beaches to enforce the rule. The mask rule will remain even when social distancing is in place. Find out more here.
