Crunchyroll’s Persona 5: The Animation Streetwear Collection Will Steal Your Heart

For those not sure what to get the Phantom Thieves fan in their life this holiday season, any of the new designs inspired by Persona 5: The Animation in the recently revealed Crunchyroll Loves streetwear collection are bound to steal their heart.

Crunchyroll's in-house apparel brand, Crunchyroll Loves, unveiled six limited-edition designs featuring several Phantom Thieves styled after their appearances in the anime adaptation of the popular video game. The collection includes long and short sleeve tees as well as sweatshirts all featuring characters from Persona 5, and pre-orders for the collection are currently live, though will only remain open until Dec. 20. The collection is only available at the Crunchyroll online store.

The collection includes a black hoodie with the Phantoms' resident hacker, Futaba, on the back and her headphones on the front for $54.95, while a separate acid-wash long-sleeve shirt featuring Ann perfectly captures Panther's fire for 29.95. Fans of the mysterious Morgana, meanwhile, have both a black long-sleeve shirt and a striped short-sleeve shirt to choose from, priced at $29.95 and $34.95, respectively. A short-sleeve black shirt with protagonist Joker as well as a black anorak with both the anime and Phantom Thieves logos are also available at the respective prices of $24.95 and $75.95.

Persona 5: The Animation is the latest franchise to collaborate with the streaming company's apparel brand, as a Crunchyroll Loves streetwear collection for the hit dark fantasy series Jujutsu Kaisen closed its pre-order window earlier this month. A trio of hoodies inspired by the main characters of Demon Slayer was also recently offered by the brand, with pre-orders on those limited-edition items having just ended too.

Airing for 26 episodes between 2018 and 2019, Persona 5: The Animation adapts the highly acclaimed 2016 RPG, Persona 5. The anime covers the events of the original game, and even includes both Japanese and English voice actors reprising roles of core characters. Series composer Shoji Meguro also returns to provide the soundtrack, while game artist Kazuma Kaneko's original demon designs are featured as well.

With 2019's Persona 5 Royal updating the original game with more characters, levels and story -- not to mention last year's spin-off, Persona 5 Strikers -- both helping push the franchise past 15 million copies sold worldwide, it seems Persona's popularity is only set to grow in the coming years. In fact, Persona 5 has not only been adapted into an anime but into an on-stage musical as well. A manga series titled Persona 5: Momentos Mission was also announced earlier this year, as the first volume in a three-part "side adventure" will hit shelves in December.

Persona 5: The Animation is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.
