Horror anime Chainsaw Man is now set to air from October 12!
Before the series airs in Japan, its world premiere will be held on September 19. Not only will the main cast and director appear at the premiere, but there'll also be a huge announcement, which fans will be able to catch via MAPPA's official YouTube channel.
While Chainsaw Man will also be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from October 12, as well as Disney+ from October 13, it's unclear if overseas viewers will also be able to watch it on these platforms.
Based on Tatsuki Fujimoto's horror manga, Chainsaw Man follows a young man named Denji who becomes a devil hunter in order to pay off his dead father's debts to the yakuza. After falling victim to a plot by the yakuza, he merges with his demon dog Pochita to become Chainsaw Man.
The manga was originally serialized from 2018 to 2020, with Part 2 also coming out in July 2022. Fujimoto's other recent projects include one-shot manga titles Look Back, Goodbye, Eri and Futsu ni Kiitekure.
Chainsaw Man will air in Japan from October 12, 2022.
