Kawaki locates a pensive Boruto, who's feeling helpless over the fact that no one has any solutions to his predicament. Kawaki shares a wild card idea that could fix the problem: finding a new vessel. Kawaki wants Boruto to do what Isshiki did when the villain marked him and Jigen -- find a host himself to transfer his Karma mark; thus, once Momoshiki takes over and Boruto dies, the Hokage's son will be reborn into his chosen vessel.

Boruto's stunned that Kawaki would force something like this on someone. It's twisted and immoral, but Kawaki thinks that if it's done to a bad guy, well, it's not so bad.

The person Kawaki has in mind is Code, Ishhiki's successor and another recipient of his Karma mark. Code didn't become the perfect host like Kawaki, but his Karma does grant him Isshiki's powers. Kawaki wants to sacrifice the protege to protect Boruto as his body can handle taking a mark. Kawaki believes that they can use Boruto's Karma to track Code down since it allows him to bend space-time to teleport. And not just that -- it'll allow Boruto to transfer his mark, too.

The more he plays with the idea of self-preservation, the more Boruto buys into it, before finally agreeing to train up -- especially after Kawaki admits Code has a lot of firepower. The problem with this contingency plan is that, if they fight Code, Boruto will expend chakra and open the gate for Momoshiki to complete the possession, putting the endeavor into suicide mission territory. To top it off, they really don't understand the science of the mark and are underestimating Code's physiology.

While Kawaki should be commended for trying to help Boruto, this idea really should be run past Katasuke, Amado and the rest of the science team. Since Code's a scientific ninja tool mixed with Ōtsutsuki genetics, things could go haywire in a drastic way. The repercussions would be deadly. The boys have no clue what this process will do to Boruto's body, or Code's, but given the dark direction the Boruto series has taken, it could produce even more villains in an altered Code, as well as a new Momoshiki to go after Konoha and the free shinobi world.
