Sasuke’s Abnormal Wings

Upon forcibly receiving Orochimaru’s Cursed Seal of Heaven, Sasuke's body began to take an entirely different form when the power would leak from the seal. Aside from receiving an upgrade to his abilities, his physical features changed and strange webbed wings sprouted from his back.

The Curse Seal causes all those who bare it to change into a monstrous version of themselves. Every character’s physical design is different, and certain features are developed to enhance their strengths; like Kidomaru developing extra arms to resemble a spider. It would seem like the change would give the user an advantage for their style of combat, but the webbed wings didn’t really match Sasuke’s style. Although the wings gave him the ability to fly around and enhanced his mobility in combat, they seemed very cumbersome, especially if they were needed to help give his speed a boost.

The wings did provide protection from attacks, and in his battle with Deidara, one side of the wings even manifest into snakes. Sadly, the wings were only available through the Curse Mark transformation, and after getting the seal removed, Sasuke never had access to them again.

Sasuke's Overcome Blindness

The Uchihas will always be known as the clan cursed with strong emotions, but those feelings are necessary to awaken their sharingan. The secondary stage of the Sharingan, the Mangekyou Sharingan, can only be awaken after losing a loved one, and using its powers for a prolonged time can cause the user to lose their eye sight.

Sasuke awakened his Mangekyou Sharingan early in life, and suffered the price of almost going blind. The Mangekyou Sharingan gives the user incredible new abilities, but every time it’s activated, the user starts to lose their eye sight. Sasuke is able to defeat Danzo with his new abilities, but nearly goes blind from the over use of the Mangekyou Sharingan.

After being rescued by Tobi, they return to base camp where Sasuke gets Itachi’s eyes to be transplanted into him. Through the power of medical ninjutsu, Sasuke has an eye transplant, and is cured from the blindness while developing his new Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. It’s important to note that Sasuke is causing mischief and saving the world with his deceased brother’s eyeballs implanted in him. It may not be as tragic as Bando's fate in Elfen Lied, but there are some similarities there.

Sasuke's Mangekyou Sharingan is Inverted

The Mangekyou Sharingan is the second stage of the Sharingan, before becoming the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. Only seven characters have been able to awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan in the manga, but from the seven, Sasuke is the only one with an inverted pattern to the color scheme. Past users of the Mangekyou Sharingan have a red iris with black pupils, but Sasuke’s eye pattern is a black iris with red pupils.

The Mangekyo Sharingan is awaken by losing a loved one, and in most cases, it was the loss of a sibling that triggered the event. Sasuke awakened his Mangekyou Sharingan after the death of his older brother, Itachi, and first used it in a battle against Danzo.

There's no explanation as to why Sasuke’s Mangekyou Sharingan has an inverted pattern, but the abnormality doesn’t end there. After almost losing his eye sight from excessive use of the Mangekyou Sharingan, he has Itachi’s eye transplanted into him, and awakens the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. Only two characters are known to have awakened the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan this way: Madara and Sasuke. The inverted nature of Sasuke’s Sharingan is more evident in the design of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

Sasuke's Manifested Rinnegan

Sasuke is one of the few people to be able to manifest the Rinnegan in the whole Naruto series. Unlike others, he only manifested it in his left eye after he received the Six Path Yin powers from Hagoromo Otsutsuki. His single version of the Rinnegan also had the six tomoe embedded in it, heightening the powers of the original Rinnegan, since his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan was already awaken.

Madara was one of the only other Uchiha to manifest the Rinnegan, after eating some of Hashirama’s flesh. Obito and Nagato both shared the Rinnegan that was manifested by Madara, and their efficiency with the dojutsu was not as advanced as Sasuke’s mastery.

Normally, users of the Rinnegan were able to manifest both eyes, but Sauske only had it in one eye, while the other eye contained the Eternal Mangekyo Sharigan. Kaguya Otsutsuki also had a single version of the Rinnegan embedded on her forehead while constantly using her own Byakugan. Even though he physically had half the Rinnegan, he was able to master all its abilities without any issues. Some could even argue that he was one of the better Rinnegan users.

Sasuke is Indra Otsutsuki’s Reincarnation

It’s no secret that Sasuke is the reincarnation of one the Sage of Six Path’s children, Indra, but that fact alone is what makes the young Uchiha so resilient. Having the physicality of an Uchiha, and possessing the aura of a descendant from the Sage of Six Paths puts Sasuke in a different league.

Sasuke is able to resist and utilize Orochimaru’s Cursed Seal of the Heaven, awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan and become a host for the legendary Rinnegan, with the help of Hagoromo. All the accolades he has acquired are not easily achieved, but being the descendant of a legendary shinobi makes those task more feasible.

There are many great shinobi in the world of Naruto, but the fact that Sasuke is the reincarnation of Indra allows him to surpass his limits. That fact alone is worth noting because one can only wonder how much weaker Saskue would have been if he didn’t inherit the natural abilities of Indra.
