Aktiveight and Connor Buckmaster – “I’m The Blame”

There’s a new track coming your way by an artist that you will definitely want to keep your eye on! On June 1st, Philadelphia based, Aktiveight, dropped “I’m The Blame” with Connor Buckmaster.

“I’m The Blame” pairs Buckmaster’s slightly auto-tuned vocals with heavy synths and a mellow beat to create a smooth, slightly popish electronic song you can sing along to. Fans of Zedd, Armin van Buuren and lyrical, chill beats should definitely give this track a listen.

More than likely, both Aktiveight ((Nate Rodriguez) and Connor Buckmaster are new names to you, but they won’t stay that way for long. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Aktiveight is a 20-year-old producer who has already placed in the top 15 of the “Steve Aoki Delirious Remix Contest,” became a featured artist in Rowan Music Group’s first compilation album, and recently won People’s Choice Award in the 2017 PHL LIVE Center Stage Competition.

Buckmaster is a novice R&B/Indie singer, with less than 200 followers combined on his social media. Those figures alone are enough to deter most artists from collaborating with newbies, but that is where Aktiveight differs. Those lesser-known artists are exactly whom he wants to work with. “I am starting to push forward onto advocating music rights by collaborating with new and underground artists and spread the knowledge on how to become successful in this industry,” said Aktiveight in an interview with Traxx24.

“I believe that new and underground artists have lost their connection between each other and refuse to collaborate unless it’s with someone that has more followers than them. I want bring back that connection by collaborating with those talented artists and make great music! Why? Because I believe that is the key to success! The internet is a very powerful tool to use when you are a music artist. Not only you can showcase your music to the world, but you can also connect with other amazing artists that make the same music as you and you can work on a project together. Every music artist should take advantage of that.”

If you’re a new artist looking for advice or maybe even a collaboration, don’t be afraid to message Aktiveight. He is always open to talk to anyone looking to collaborate (if you don’t believe me, check out his SoundCloud bio).

However, if you’re an EDM fan who likes to stay on top of new artists and the latest tracks, don’t sleep on Aktiveight and “I’m The Blame!”
