Superheroes are completely integrated into the world of My Hero Academia. They receive training, licenses and work closely with the government while fighting crime. Many heroes even form agencies that serve as their base of operations. At these agencies, Pro Heroes employ sidekicks that assist them with their daily tasks and train interns from hero schools. When Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki started their internships under Endeavor, they weren't just being trained by the number 1 hero. They were also working at the best hero agency in Japan.
Endeavor's skills as a Pro Hero can't be denied. For decades, he was consistently the number 2 Pro Hero under All Might. Endeavor has actually resolved more cases than any other Pro Hero in history. The only reason that he never became number 1 before All Might retired is because of his lack of charisma. However, besides his off-putting personality, Endeavor has proven himself as an excellent hero, and the hero agency that he runs is evidence of that. Endeavor Agency far outshines other Pro Hero agencies in numerous ways.
Endeavor Agency is a Small Army
Many other Pro Hero agencies have been shown throughout the series. Almost all of them have very few employees. They usually have the Pro Hero that leads the organization and one or two sidekicks with a small handful of interns they have decided to take on. Nighteye, who was the personal former sidekick of All Might, only had two sidekicks working for him. This small number of employees can be limiting. When Nighteye was planning on raiding the Shie Hassaikai, he had to ask for help from multiple other hero agencies just so that they wouldn't be overwhelmed. Endeavor's agency doesn't have this problem.
Endeavor has over thirty sidekicks working for him called the Flaming Sidekickers. This is more than any other agency shown in the series. Having a high number of sidekicks means that Endeavor has a personal army ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. This gives Endeavor much more time to save civilians and defeat villains. He can rush off to another incident while his sidekicks deal with the aftermath.
The extra manpower means that he doesn't have to rely on other heroes as often. For major events or raids, Endeavor doesn't have to organize with other hero agencies. Endeavor could have performed the entire raid on Shie Hassaikai with just his own sidekicks. The large number of sidekicks that Endeavor has makes him far more effective than the vast number of other Pro Heroes.
Endeavor Actually Trains His Interns
Throughout the series, the students of Class 1-A have gone through numerous internships. Some of them have been more useful than others; the internships can be hit or miss most of the time. Some Pro Heroes take the situation seriously and attempt to teach the students, while others simply ignore their interns or give them useless information. When Momo interned for Uwabami, she did very little hero work and was just used to film commercials. Hawks barely interacted with Tokoyami, and Mt. Lady had Mineta do chores for her.
Most of Class 1-A didn't gain anything useful from their internships. Even when Deku started his internship under Sir Nighteye, the Pro Hero was only trying to convince Deku that he wasn't worthy of being All Might's successor. That all changed when Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki started their internships under Endeavor. On the first day of their internship, Endeavor took them on real hero work, showing them how an expert hero behaves in action.
Endeavor also directly asked his interns what they wanted to achieve while working for him. Deku wanted greater control over One for All, Bakugo wanted to overcome his weaknesses and Todoroki wanted to master Flashfire Fist. Endeavor takes into account his interns' powers and is dedicated to helping them improve. Endeavor also teaches the students that they must always be ready to jump into action. Endeavor is a better teacher than many other Pro Heroes. He takes the time to explain complex ideas in simple ways so that others understand. If he trains his sidekicks the same way he trains his interns, it's easy to see why his agency is the best.
Endeavor Only Accepts the Best
Endeavor has never been the nicest person. He has a short temper and often expects too much from the people around him. This can be both a blessing and a curse. His ambitions and high expectations hurt his family, but they have also motivated his employees to push past their limits. Endeavor believes that a great hero excels in three major areas: Rescue, Evacuation and Battle. He and his sidekicks pride themselves on being perfect in this area.
Early on in their internship, Endeavor tasked the students with catching a villain before he could. This is a tall order to ask someone to do, especially three freshmen. However, even though the request seemed to be impossible, it lit a fire inside the interns. They pushed themselves to their absolute limits trying to be faster than Endeavor, and this motivation helped them become rapidly stronger.
Endeavor's high expectations also push his sidekicks to work harder. The Endeavor Agency is always busy since the sidekicks handle hundreds of incidents on their own. Endeavor knows that he has trained high-quality sidekicks, so he trusts them to handle certain situations on their own. The Endeavor Agency is quick, efficient and professional in every aspect of hero work, making them the number 1 hero agency.
