WARNING: The following contains spoilers for My Hero Academia Chapter 332, "State-of-the-Art Hypersonic Intercontinental Cruise...," by Kohei Horikoshi, Caleb Cook and John Hunt, available in English from Viz Media.
The American hero Star and Stripe and the sinister Tomura Shigaraki have been engaged in what's easily one of the best fights in My Hero Academia for a few chapters now. Star has proven her Quirk is definitely the strongest in the world. Despite this, Shigaraki is proving extremely difficult to defeat due to his ability to rapidly regenerate.
MHA fans are starting to wonder how anyone will be able to defeat him in a way that makes sense after this fight. If Star and Stripe's incredible power isn't enough, it's hard to imagine another hero will be able to take Shigaraki down. At the end of Chapter 331, Star was told that the hypersonic intercontinental cruise missiles (known as Tiamat) that she requested were on the way.
Now in Chapter 332, Star and Stripe utilizes the missiles in what appears to be a last ditch effort. Her comrades keep Shigaraki in place, wearing down his regeneration with their lasers while she touches the missiles so she can use New Order on them. At this point, both Shigaraki and Star are ready to end the fight -- so they simultaneously go in for a gamble.
Star uses her quirk to grab all the missiles together with the giant avatar formed in her shape out of air, launching one enormously explosive punch at Shigaraki. The explosion is so huge that Endeavor sees it despite still being very far away. When the smoke clears, Star notices an odd hole in the ground that isn't from the explosion. To her surprise, Shigaraki comes rapidly charging out of it.
Shigaraki is burnt to a crisp and unrecognizable after Star's attack, yet he manages to avoid death once again. He used his quirk, Decay, to swiftly dive deep underground and avoid a direct hit. If he was even just a second late in doing that, he would've been fatally wounded. Unfortunately for Star and her comrades, that wasn't the case this time.
As Shigaraki lands on one of the jets, All For One declares he'll put New Order to better use. Star and Stripe's comrade urges her to crush Shigaraki along with him using the avatar, noting that the explosion from his craft would blow Shigaraki to bits. It seems like the perfect opportunity to finally be rid of Shigaraki, but Star is unwilling to kill her friend in the process.
Unfortunately, Star's hesitance gives Shigaraki the chance he needs to get to her. Chapter 332 of My Hero Academia ends as he grabs her face in his hand, ready to kill her with Decay. It seems almost certain this is the end for America's #1 hero and that All For One will steal New Order. All hope isn't lost yet though, since Endeavor could arrive just in time to prevent the worst from happening. Though it's unclear, it's also possible that Star uses her Quirk to somehow protect herself at the last moment.
