The World Trigger manga will go on hiatus during the month of November as series creator Daisuke Ashihara recovers from a condition that gives them chronic neckpain.
The announcement was posted to the official Twitter account for the Jump SQ, the Japanese magazine where World Trigger is currently serialized. According to the announcement, Ashihara suffers from chronic neck pain that was affecting their ability to write and draw, so the manga will take a break to prioritize the artists' health. Publication of the manga is scheduled to resume in December. The series also took two other one-month hiatuses earlier this year, in March and May, presumably for the same reason.

World Trigger takes place in Mikado City, a place that is constantly under attack from a mysterious race of inter-dimensional monsters known as "Neighbors." The city's residents are protected from these beings by an organization known as Border, which uses a technology known as "Trigger" to fight these invaders back. Border's defense is so effective that the city is more or less able to resume regular daily life. Things in the city begin to change, however, when high school student Osamu Mikumo, who is secretly a Border trainee, is introduced to a new transfer student, the white-haired Yuma Kuga, who is actually a powerful Neighbor in disguise.
Ashihara's manga was first adapted into an anime series in 2014 by studio Toei Animation, who also produce the popular One Piece anime series, which will soon air its 1000th episode. A second season aired in January of 2021, which will soon be followed up by the premiere of the series' third season this fall. The third season of the anime will be directed by Outlaw Star's Mitsuru Hongo, with Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphan's Hiroyuki Yoshino overseeing the series composition. The series' cast includes Nao Tamura, who previously starred in Log Horizon, Lupin the Third's Nobunaga Shimazaki, Sword Art Online's Tomo Muranaka and Yuuki Kaji, who is best known as the voice of Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia.
Crunchyroll will simulcast the third season of World Trigger after it premieres in Japan on Oct. 9. The company also has the previous two seasons of the anime available in its streaming catalogue. The World Trigger manga is localized into English and distributed internationally in both print and digital formats by VIZ Media.
