As April 2021 hits its halfway point, television season is hitting up with the first wave of summer movies and video games are ramping up their marketing. With digital platforms from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video to Apple TV+ and Disney+ preparing to launch their next wave of original programming, spring is shaping up to be loaded with thrilling movies and television shows, including Army of the Dead, Castlevania and more.
Here are all the biggest trailers, teasers and promos for movies, TV and video games released this past week.
Age of Empires IV
While details on Age of Empires IV are still under wraps, Microsoft Game Studios has shared a gameplay trailer for the forthcoming sequel showcasing eight different civilizations, each with their own unique abilities and properties. The game will also include campaigns following different historical figures from each of the civilizations while the presentation of each civilization will have a greater attention to detail as they evolve across time.
Developed by Relic Entertainment, Age of Empires IV will be released Fall 2021.
Army of the Dead
Filmmaker Zack Snyder's next blockbuster film Army of the Dead is a heist flick set in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. A group of mercenaries venture into Las Vegas, after Sin City has been completely overrun with zombies, to pull off one last, big score amidst teeming hordes of undead. The trailer for the film reveals everything from different types of zombies menacing the humans to a zombie white tiger poised to make this smash-and-grab job all the more complicated.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Army of the Dead stars Dave Bautista, Garret Dillahunt, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Raul Castillo, Tig Notaro, Theo Rossi and Ana de la Reguera. The film arrives on Netflix May 21.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm
After a fourteen year hiatus, Sacha Baron Cohen reprised his iconic role as Borat Sagdiyev in last year's Borat Subsequent Moviefilm and the Academy Award-nominated sequel is receiving an extended cut. A trailer for the surprise alternate cut opens with Cohen in character as Borat commenting on the recent presidential election before new footage shows himself and his daughter on the run for their various comedic antics.
Directed by Jason Woliner, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm stars Sacha Baron Cohen and Maria Bakalova. The film is now available on Amazon Prime Video. Borat Supplemental Reportings Retrieved From Floor of Stable Containing Editing Machine has yet to receive a release date.

Netflix's acclaimed animated series adaptation of the popular video game franchise Castlevania is returning for its fourth season next month, with the upcoming season set to be the series' last. The debut trailer features a map of Transylvania descending into bloody violence as the vampire warlord Camilla vows to expand her plans to subjugate humanity to encompass the whole world.
Castlevania Season 3 stars Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont, Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades, James Callis as Alucard, Theo James as Hector, Adetokumboh M'Cormack as Isaac, Jaime Murray as Carmilla, Jessica Brown Findlay as Lenore, Bill Nighy as St. Germain, Jason Isaacs as The Judge and Rila Fukushima as Sumi. Season 4 premieres May 13 on Netflix.
Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist
One of the most heartbreaking high-profile deaths last year was Academy Award-nominated actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away last August from colon cancer. An upcoming Netflix special will focus on Boseman's acclaimed body of work and his artistry, featuring interviews from the filmmakers and co-stars that performed alongside him to craft impressive films, including Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and Black Panther, celebrating his life and contributions to cinema.

Dark Side of the Ring
Vice TV's acclaimed documentary series Dark Side of the Ring, exploring the untold, more notorious aspects of the professional wrestling industry, returns for its third season next month. With a significantly increased episode order for its new season, previous documentaries have recounted tales of murder, failed career shifts and more in unflinching detail.
Dark Side of the Ring Season 3 premieres May 6 on Vice TV.
F9
After having its release date pushed back by a full year, F9 has released a new theatrical trailer as the latest installment of the Fast & Furious franchise sets its theatrical release date. The trailer reveals some of the most outrageous action set pieces yet as the Fast crew takes on Dom and Mia's long-lost brother Jakob as this family reunion becomes decidedly explosive.
Directed by Justin Lin, F9 stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell and Charlize Theron. The film arrives in theaters June 25.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has entered its home stretch as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes are shocked at how far the new Captain America John Walker has violently fallen from grace. A new trailer teases the duo taking on the wayward Star-Spangled Man with a Plan while another promo has Sam approach Walker to relinquish the iconic vibranium shield back to him.
Created by Malcolm Spellman and directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Erin Kellyman, Adepero Oduye, Florence Kasumba and Daniel Brühl. New episodes debut Fridays on Disney+.
The Flash
While Killer Frost has long since reformed from her villainous ways, the longtime Team Flash member finds herself under the custody of the Central City Police Department in the next episode of The Flash. A promo has Frost take the stand and pledge her support towards the Scarlet Speedster while the obsessive special investigator Kristen Kramer moves to have her metahuman abilities taken away permanently.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh. The series returns from hiatus Tuesday, May 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
Godzilla Singular Point
While the King of the Monsters throws down with King Kong on the big screen in Godzilla vs. Kong, the fan-favorite kaiju is about to return to Netflix this June in Godzilla Singular Point. The latest trailer for the anime series showcases more familiar kaiju joining the proceedings, including Rodan and Jet Jaguar, as the titans go on a fiery rampage across Japan.
Directed by Atsushi Takahashi and written by Toh Enjoe, Godzilla Singular Point arrives on Netflix in June.

Invincible has just endured one of his worst, most painful defeats to date as the teenage superhero was ambushed by a group of superheroes while attempting to overthrow a local crime lord. The latest promo for the animated series reveals the immediate aftermath of the battle as Mark Grayson and his teammates receive emergency medical treatment from their grievous injuries.

Mythic Quest
The acclaimed video game workplace comedy series Mythic Quest returns for its second season on Apple TV+, with the dysfunctional group of video game developers descending into their usual rivalries and posturing as the develop an expansion to the eponymous fantasy MMO. Ahead of the Season 2 premiere, the series will receive a bonus standalone episode as the staff celebrates their return to the office after a year of working from home to engage in a madcap fantasy competition.
Mythic Quest stars Rob McElhenney, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Danny Pudi, Ashly Burch, Imani Hakim, Jessie Ennis and F. Murray Abraham, with Naomi Ekperigin, Caitlin McGee, Humphrey Ker, Chris Naoki Lee and Jonathan Wiggs. Season 2 premieres Friday, May 7 on Apple TV+.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness
As Capcom readies Resident Evil Village, the next installment of its bestselling video game series, the franchise is about to launch a CG anime series on Netflix this July with Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. A character trailer for the series shows Resident Evil 2 protagonists Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield reuniting at the White House after a presidential database is hacked only to face a new horde of ravenous zombies.
Produced and supervised by Capcom's Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is directed by Eiichiro Hasumi and composed by Yugo Kanno. The CG anime series stars Nick Apostolides as Leon S. Kennedy and Stephanie Panisello as Claire Redfield. It is slated to premiere on Netflix this July.
Supergirl
Supergirl began its fifth and final season with Kara trapped in the Phantom Zone after a showdown with Lex Luthor. As the rest of Kara's friends and family search for a way to free her from the nightmarish pocket dimension, a promo shows the team running into difficulties as Martian Manhunter leads the rescue mission into the harsh world.

While Superman & Lois may still be in the middle of a hiatus, a new promo reveals the challenges facing the super family upon the series' return next month. As Lois Lane confides her concerns about shady dealings behind-the-scenes in Smallville to Lana Lang, Clark Kent coaches his son Jordan with his burgeoning powers and the responsibilities that come with them when the hit Arrowverse series eventually resumes.
Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Dylan Walsh, Alex Garfin, Jordan Elsass, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Inde Navarrette and Wolé Parks. The series returns May 18 and will air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
The Water Man
Emmy Award-nominated actor David Oyelowo makes his directorial debut with the opening family-friendly fantasy film The Water Man, in addition to starring the movie. Produced by Oprah Winfrey, the film follows a young boy named Gunner who sets out to find the mythical Water Man and discover the secret of immortality when his mother grows ill.
Directed by and starring David Oyelowo, The Water Man also stars Rosario Dawson, Lonnie Chavis, Amiah Miller, Alfred Molina, and Maria Bello. It will premiere in theaters on May 7.
