“Saving Light” is a collaboration between Gareth Emery, Standerwick, Haliene, Monstercat and an anti-bullying charity called Ditch the Label. Gareth Emery and Standerwick completed this uplifting trance banger with the glorious vocals by HALIENE.
The powerful lyrics take us very deep throughout the progression of the song. Afterward, the unfolding trance tune grasps us while transforming into an electrifying sensation as the drop kicks in.
I’m sure everyone can relate to a similar love or friendship story that is screaming out for help but for some reason is not heard. We all need a saving light sometimes and this Banger delivers it to us.
I first heard this banger when Armin van Buuren played it during his Embrace show in Los Angeles. I remember the delight I felt as soon as I heard the melodic trance beat. Next, I turned to my friend and said that this is my new future favorite song. Since then I cannot get enough of it.
I became a fan of Gareth Emery when “Concrete Angel” with Christina Novelli was released back in 2012. He always includes a deep trance vibe, chill build-up and strong vocals in his hits. In fact, he did it again with “Saving Light”. In other words, he delivered a flawless mix that tells a story about the importance of equality, positivity, and love.
On a side note, DreamState San Francisco is coming up in May, and Gareth Emery is one of the headlining DJs there. I can’t wait to experience this song live again, however, this time played by Gareth Emery himself.
