Anime Expo 2023: Figure Showcases by Good Smile, Aniplex, Kadokawa, S-FIRE and Many More [Photo Report]

Anime Expo, the largest anime convention in North America, returned to Los Angeles, California, with a vengeance! AX 2023 brought figurative fire to the LA Convention Center, boasting creator and voice actor guests from Japan, live stage performances, EDM dances, VTuber Q&A's, fan activations, a Japanese food festival... and that's just scratching the surface!

This year, the otaku event completely sold out of attendee tickets online over a week prior to Day 1 on July 1st. If you were unable to attend AX 2023 for any reason, fret not! Tokyo Otaku Mode has over 300 figure photos for you to enjoy, right from the show floor! We combed through Anime Expo's amazing exhibition spectacle and braved the crowds so that you don't have to!

Many Japanese companies made their long-awaited appearance at AX 2023, designing brilliant pop-up booths to excite their loyal fans.

For the first time ever, Good Smile unveiled a look at an unpainted Link figma figure from this year's most popular Nintendo game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! The figure producer also wowed attendees with appearances by dazzling Attack on Titan, My Dress-Up Darling, and hololive VTuber figures!

Aniplex was also present at AX 2023. The popular figure maker told a story of both beauty and brawn with an assortment of action-packed statues from the Demon Slayer and Fate series! Even Mash Burnedead from the anime Mashle muscled his way into the display with a new articulated figure!
