Pokémon Fan Theory: The Humans in the Anime Were Superhuman All Along

Team Rocket is blasting off again -- but, how did they survive after being thrown into the sky and falling to the ground so many times? The internet has theories such as Team Rocket may have been clones this entire time. Although that could be true, it’s also quite possible that humans in Pokémon were just superhuman all along.

What supports this theory is that Team Rocket easily survives over seven-hundred Pokémon attacks or events, that blast them to the sky, and they survive every single time. Superhuman feats shown in the games and anime consisting of trainers being able to jump off cliffs without sustaining injuries, being able to smash boulders on their own, jump incredibly high and long distances and the main playable character never requiring any healing after being through poisonous, hazardous, and fiery environments. Nurse Joy seemingly only ever heals Pokémon and never the trainer. Several times in the Pokémon games and anime, trainers rapidly dash or swim and an incredible speed that doesn’t allow the playable character to run away after being seen.

This would also explain why Pokémon never go against their trainers. Trainers maintain control of their Pokémon despite how strong the Pokémon may be. This is because it would be difficult to take down a trainer due to the superhuman durability that humans in Pokémon have.

In the anime, there are many moments where trainers were crushed by large Pokémon but are able to shrug it off and get back up as if nothing happened. Often, Brock and Misty have caused each other multiple head injuries that give them hematomas, but a few seconds later they get better as if they were never injured in the first place.

Humans in Pokémon being superhuman makes sense considering the extremely dangerous environments and the abilities of Pokémon in the Pokémon world. Trainers survive molten volcanic environments, pitch-black caves, haunted towns, freezing temperatures, raging thunder, and toxic environments with ease.

All the while, they are surrounded by seemingly endless amounts of dangerous wild Pokémon with their own supernatural abilities. Able to withstand Pokémon with psychic, poisonous, steel, electric, or fire powers is no easy feat.

Many times in the anime, Ash was able to withstand direct attacks by Pokémon trying to save them. He’s been electrocuted, withstood severe physical blunt force, got burned alive, almost drowned, turned into stone, and consistently takes part in dangerous activities like climbing a hot air balloon without fear of death.

If humans in Pokémon were not superhuman, would they risk such things? Perhaps, there is a reason why people in Pokémon challenge each other with Pokémon instead of with themselves. Humans in Pokémon simply can’t risk conflict in the Pokémon world as it would be total worldwide chaos.
