Gundam Reconguista in G: The Legacy of Space is the third installment in the five-part film series recapping the original Gundam Reconguista in G TV anime series first aired in 2014.
Written and directed by Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino, the story takes place in the Regild Century and follows Capital Guard cadet Bellri Zenam. Charged with protecting the Capital Tower, Bellri is attacked by the G-Self Mobile Suit and finds an unusual affinity with both it and its pilot, space pirate Aida Surugan.
Gundam Reconguista in G: The Legacy of Space opens in theaters across Japan on July 22, 2012.
