As of right now, the English dub of "Wielding the Tenseiga" -- the first episode of Yashahime Season 2 and the show's 25th episode overall -- is available to stream on Funimation, Crunchyroll and Hulu. Moreover, a total of five episodes of Season 2 are already streaming in Japanese with subtitles, with a sixth dropping tomorrow morning. The entirety of Season 1 is already available to stream as well, both in Japanese and English.
Yashahime is an original anime that serves as a follow-up to the popular manga/anime series Inuyasha. The series follows Towa and Setsuna -- the twin daughters of Sesshomaru and Rin -- who were separated at a young age, with Towa ending up stuck in the modern era, where she was raised by Sota Higurashi. 10 years later, Towa is reunited with Setsuna, who has since become a demon slayer. The sisters join forces with their cousin Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome Higurashi, in order to unlock the secrets of their past.
Yashahime premiered on Japanese television on Oct. 3, 2020. Season 1 ran for a total of 24 episodes, concluding earlier this year on March 20. A second season, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon - The Second Act, was confirmed shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, Viz Media streamed the anime to western viewers with subtitles via Funimation, Crunchyroll and Hulu. Funimation also produced the English dub, which began streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu, as well as on Funimation itself, on Nov. 6, 2020. The dub made its way to network TV in the United States this past June, premiering on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim's Toonami block.
The Second Act premiered early last month on Oct. 2 -- one year, almost to the day, after Season 1's initial premiere. Additionally, a manga adaptation of Yashahime by Takashi Shiina debuted in Shōnen Sunday S on Sept. 25 -- one week before Season 2's premiere. Viz has licensed the manga for North American readers.
The English dub of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon - The Second Act can be streamed on Funimation, Crunchyroll and Hulu.
