Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon has secured a spot on Toonami's Saturday night lineup.
Toonami revealed the news in a Facebook post, writing, "Toonami is proud to announce the newest show joining our Saturday night lineup!" The post features Toonami’s new Saturday night schedule, as well as a promotional image detailing Yashahime's new time slot. Starting June 26, fans can enjoy the saga of the half-demon princesses at 1 a.m. ET/PT during Adult Swim's anime-centered programming block.
Yashahime will air between Dr. Stone and Food Wars!, with My Hero Academia kicking off the night. The lineup also includes other popular anime like Naruto Shippuden, Attack on Titan, Dragon Ball Super and Black Clover, which will premiere its fourth and final season on June 19. Toonami runs from 12 a.m. ET/PT to 4 a.m. ET/PT every Saturday night.
Joining Toonami provides fans with the opportunity to re-watch Yashahime from the beginning, before the upcoming premiere of Season 2. Announced just after the Season 1 finale in March, the second installment is titled Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act and is scheduled for release this fall.
Yashahime tells the story of the twin daughters of Sesshomaru and their cousin, the daughter of Inuyasha. The anime's Season 1 finale left fans with more questions than answers; with the apparent death of a major character, the transformation of the princesses' powers, and the lingering mystery surrounding the fate of many of the original Inuyasha characters, Yashahime still has plenty of stories to tell within the Inuyasha universe.
