WWE has been declared an 'essential business' by the state Florida.

That means that the wrestling giant will continue to operate during the global pandemic, having already hosted WrestleMania inside an empty venue in Florida earlier this month.

It's being reported that WWE was not classified as an essential business until a U-turn by the governor's fice.

An executive order has also allowed staff at theme parks, zoos and aquariums to continue looking after animals and machinery, employees sports and media companies with a national audience and those who work in domestic violence and mental health programmes to carry on working.

If WWE's essential status wasn't strange enough, the organisation's chairman Vince McMahon has been chosen by Donald Trump to be included in an advisory group that will try to help kickstart the US economy.
