A new trailer for the anime adaptation of Sōsuke Tōka's comedy manga Ranking of Kings is now available to watch online.
Ranking of Kings joins Selection Project, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act and Season 2 of Restaurant from Another World as part of Funimation's upcoming fall anime season. Wit Studio (Great Pretender, Vinland Saga) is producing the anime with Makoto Fuchigami (Soul Eater, No Guns Life) and Yosuke Hatta (Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Treasure Island) serving as the show's primary directors.
The voice cast includes anime industry-newcomer Minami Hinata as protagonist Bojji and veteran voice actor Ayumu Murase (How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord Omega, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale) as Kage.
Ranking of Kings tells the story of Bojji, a deaf prince who is heir to the throne. While he lacks power and sword-wielding ability, Bojji has high hopes for his future and sets off on a grand adventure to become the greatest king that the world has ever seen.
Tōka's manga of the same name was first published online in May 2017 on the user-submitted Manga Hack website; since then, the series has produced eleven volumes of content.
The Ranking of Kings anime is expected to premiere sometime in October.
