Since the release of Dragon Ball Z, Akira Toriyama's martial arts franchise has continually found ways to make characters more and more powerful. While increasingly strong transformations -- like Super Saiyan -- have been a staple of the franchise, fusions, which can be obtained through the Fusion Dance, Potara Earrings and a few other ways, have also been employed on several occasions. Fusions are generally incredibly powerful and significantly augment the abilities of those involved. That being said, there are often limitations on them that make them impractical in some circumstances. Plus, not all fusions are created equal, so in this video we're going to go through and rank the strongest and weakest fusions in the franchise. As a note before we start, all fusions must be voluntary, so Cell's absorbing others doesn't count.
We're starting our list off with one from Dragon Ball. Emperor Pilaf was the antagonist at the start of the original series. Through the use of his Pilaf Machines, the titular emperor and his lackeys were able to combine into a single robot. In the end, this is the weakest fusion of the bunch, as the mechs were destroyed with a few well-placed Kamehamehas.

Dragon Ball Super was the most recent installment in the franchise, not counting the original net animation Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Although it's unclear just when -- or if -- the series will return, the Dragon Ball franchise is popular, so it's unlikely to stay gone for long. The manga currently expands on the ending of Dragon Ball Super, taking Goku and Vegeta into space to fight against the energy-absorbing Moro. However, it's unclear if when the anime returns it will actually pull from that plotline.
