Dragon Ball Z resulted in a pretty major revelation about Goku, the protagonist of the series. After his brother, Raditz, arrived on Earth, Goku learned that he was, in fact, a member of a near-extinct race known as the Saiyans. As a baby, Goku was sent to Earth so as to destroy the planet's inhabitants. However, thanks to a head injury, Goku forgot his mission.
In this video, we're going to go into just what would have happened if Vegeta had arrived on Earth instead of Goku. To make things more difficult, we're also going to look at what might have happened if Vegeta hadn't been picked up by Grandpa Gohan and instead was found by mercenary Tao. As Vegeta was already older than Goku, a lot of his stubborn, proud ways would be pretty engrained, and it's likely he'd have learned a lot about Earth from Tao. After going into that origin, we're going to try and find parallels where necessary and explain how he'd take on various threats from throughout the series.
Check out the video below for more of how things might have changed if Vegeta had been sent to Earth and not Goku.

Dragon Ball Super was the most recent animated installment in the franchise, not counting the original net animation Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Although it's unclear just when -- or if -- the series will return, the Dragon Ball franchise is popular, so it's unlikely to stay gone for long. The manga currently expands on the ending of Dragon Ball Super, taking Goku and Vegeta into space to fight against the energy-absorbing Moro. However, it's unclear if when the anime returns it will actually pull from that plotline.
