One of the most iconic Iron Man suits Tony Stark donned in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was his "suitcase" armor in Iron Man 2. A homage to the comics, the suit was a lightweight version of the Iron Man armor that could compress into a suitcase.
Marvel Studios concept artist Ryan Meinerding has revealed an alternate version of the suitcase armor. Colored in black and silver, the entire armor looks like the chassis that lies underneath Iron Man's classic red and gold armor.

During Iron Man 2, Tony donned the suitcase suit to battle Ivan Vanko, aka Whiplash (Mickey Rourke). The suit suffered heavy damage from Vanko's plasma whips and was shown in a display case in Iron Man 3.
The "Bones" suit, which could split into multiple pieces, was part of a legion of Iron Man suits that Tony had developed after the events of The Avengers. It, and the other suits, were called into action to battle with Extremis soldiers for the "house party protocol". It was destroyed during the final fight.
