WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Season 1, Episode 5 of Tower of God, "The Crown's Fate," now streaming on Crunchyroll.
Bam is a mystery wrapped in an enigma while Rak Wraithraiser is... a giant gator in Gladiator cosplay with an insatiable sweet tooth. But its Khun Aguero Agnis, the brains behind of the operation, that has our interest piqued to its highest in Tower of God's fifth episode, "The Crown's Fate." And fans of Dungeons & Dragons, in particular, might be especially drawn to the item in the blue-haired rebel's possession.
Although its oddness was hinted at before, it wasn't until Episode 4, when Khun's team was forced to enter the Crown Game, that the briefcase's secrets began to unfurl. In the battle arena, Khun used the item both offensively and defensively -- blocking and regurgitating whatever was thrown at him. Most interestingly, however, he also used it to create an exact replica of the crown in order to sneak Bam onto the throne.
In Episode 5, it's made clear that the bag is able to copy and multiply anything -- and apparently infinitely. Not only does this explain how Khun is able to fight fire with fire, but also how he's been keeping Rak's hunger at bay with a neverending supply of chocolate bars. This is somewhat similar to the Bag of Tricks, a D&D item that looks like nothing special on the outside but, upon inspection, reveals an object within capable of mimicking the chosen properties of a randomly chosen creature.
But that's not all Khun's version is capable of. During the fourth round of the Crown Game, Khun reveals that's been bending the Tower's rules since the very beginning. During the deathmatch test, he quietly offered safe passage within his briefcase to three other Regulars in exchange for calling upon their help when he needed it. By innocently tying his hair up in the Game, these allies -- which he'd released during a break -- read his signal and take care of his team's opponents without Khun, Bam or Rak having to lift a finger (or claw.)
In this regard, his secret weapon is more like D&D's most famous magical storage space: the Bag of Holding -- with a dash of the more generously-sized Portable Hole chucked in to allow for three humanoid people to safely stow away in it. Heck, Khun might just have the ultimate hybrid bag; one that he uses in a highly creative fashion: shifting indeterminately between storage space, transportation and a powerful weapon. As well as, quite possibly, some powerful homebrew item inspiration for your next campaign.
