Staff from both To Your Eternity and Black Clover will be featured in Crunchyroll's upcoming virtual anime convention.
Crunchyroll announced that Gakuto Kajiwara, who plays the role of Asta in Black Clover, and one of the show's directors, Ayataka Tanemura, will be part of its upcoming Virtual Crunchryoll Expo event. The online expo will also host appearances by To Your Eternity's sound director Takeshi Takedera and voice actor Reiji Kawashima, who provides the voice of Fushi, the show's protagonist. Earlier in June, Crunchyroll also announced the voice cast of The Rising of Shield Hero would also take part in the event.
The Black Clover anime series is based on a manga by Yuki Tabata that is currently serialized in Shonen Jump magazine. It tells the story of Asta, a young boy born without any magical powers in a world where everyone else has some kind of magical ability. Despite this, Asta still dreams of becoming the Wizard King and attempts to overcome his lack of magic with physical strength. The anime series ran for 170 episodes from 2017-2021. An animated movie based on the series is also currently being produced.
To Your Eternity is the critically acclaimed manga and anime series created by Yoshitoki Oima, who also created the similarly lauded A Silent Voice. Adapted into an anime by Durarara!! studio Brains Base, To Your Eternity focuses on Fushi, an immortal and initially emotionless being who is sent to Earth to bare witness to the lives of the living things on the planet. After taking the form of a human being, Fushi goes through many beautiful and painful experiences as he lives through multiple human lifetimes.
Both Black Clover and To Your Eternity are available to stream on Crunchyroll.
The Virtual Crunchyroll Expo will be held from Aug. 5-7 and will feature livestreamed panels, screenings of new anime, merch sales and a cosplay showcase. The online convention is free and fans can register for the event on its website.
