The Way of the Househusband Returns to Netflix With New Trailer

A new trailer confirms that the anime adaptation of Kousuke Oono's The Way of the Househusband manga will return to Netflix later this year.

The trailer gives fans a preview of what to expect in The Way of the Househusband Part 2 and showcases more of the show's domestic hijinks. It depicts Tatsu -- the titular househusband and former legendary yakuza -- enthusiastically cleaning, preparing gourmet meals, cooing over a dog and modeling a Halloween-themed couple's costume with his wife Miku.

Moreover, the trailer provides a first look at several new characters, including Tatsu's neighbor Bob (Tomokazu Sugita) and ex-yakuza turned rapper Gōda (Subaru Kimura). Many of the cast members from The Way of the Househusband Part 1 are reprising their roles; once again, Kenjiro Tsuda voices Tatsu, Shizuka Itou plays Miku and Kazuyuki Okitsu plays Masa, Tatsu's former gang underling.

J.C. Staff (BakumanA Certain Magical Index) has produced and Chiaki Kon (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon CrystalBleach) has directed both parts of The Way of the Househusband. Uchikubigokumon-Dōkōkai performs the new opening theme song "Chef no Michi" (The Way of the Chef) and the ending theme song "Gokushufukaidō" (The Highway of the Househusband).

The Way of the Househusband Part 1 is currently available to stream on Netflix, while Part 2 will premiere on the streaming service on Oct. 7.
