A recently released trailer for The Faraway Paladin provides a preview of the upcoming anime, which will premiere as part of Crunchyroll's fall 2021 anime season.
The trailer showcases the new show's fantastical world and features glimpses of its magical combat. Children's Playground Entertainment (Hatena Illusion, Sword Dynasty) is animating the series with Yuu Nobuta (World's End Harem, High School Fleet) serving as director, Tatsuya Takahashi (High School of the Dead) overseeing the scripts and Koji Haneda (Psycho-Pass, The Rising of The Shield Hero) providing the character designs.
Adapted from the light novel series of the same name by Kanata Yanagino and Kususaga Rin, The Faraway Paladin tells the story of Will, a human boy who is raised in the wild by a trio of undead beings and decides to become a hero.
Other anime included as a part of Crunchyroll's upcoming anime season include Build Divide -#00000 (Code Black)-, Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Platinum End, 86 Eighty-Six, The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window, The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another Word as an Aristocrat and the second season of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon.
The Faraway Paladin is scheduled to premiere in Japan on Oct. 9 on Tokyo MX, AT-X and BS NTV with Crunchyroll simulcasting the series in the United States and other regions.
