Netflix released the first art and new details on its upcoming Splinter Cell anime series by John Wick writer Derek Kolstad.
"Here's your first look at the Splinter Cell animated series, an adaptation of the bestselling@Ubisoft game," a tweet from the Netflix Geeked Twitter account released during the streamer's Geek Week. "Derek Kolstad, creator of the John Wick franchise, is onboard to write the series.#GeekedWeek" The art features U.S. Navy SEAL Sam Fisher in his tactical gear and the Splinter Cell logo.

According to Variety, the first season of the producer Derek Kolstad's Splinter Cell anime will consist of eight episodes. Joining Kolstad as producers are Hélène Juguet, Hugo Revon and Gérard Guillemot of Ubisoft. Adi Shankar is also delivering a series of Far Cry anime to Netflix, with Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix getting a six-episode order.

News of Derk Kolstad developing an anime based on Splinter Cell first broke in July 2020.
