2021 has been declared the "Year of Lupin," and to celebrate the franchise's 50th anniversary, Sentai Filmworks announced that Lupin the 3rd Part 6 will be available to stream later this year.
According to Sentai Filmworks, the company has acquired Lupin the 3rd Part 6 and has added the latest installment of the long-running anime franchise to its immense collection of hit shows, which includes Food Wars!, Princess Tutu, Made in Abyss, Kaiji, Bloom Into You, O Maidens in Your Savage Season, Legend of the Galatic Heroes and many more. Sentai Filmworks will distribute Lupin the 3rd Part 6 in Australia, New Zealand, North America, Scandinavia and all Nordic countries.

The original Lupin III manga by Monkey Punch was first published in Weekly Manga Action in August 1967 and the first Lupin III anime began airing on YTV in Japan in October 1971. Since then, there have been multiple anime series, video games, television specials and live-action adaptations.
Produced by TMS Entertainment (Dr. Stone, Megalobox), Lupin the 3rd Part 6 has many veterans of the franchise working as part of its creative team, including longtime series composer Yuji Ohno. Ohno is joined by Takahiro Okura (Lupin the 3rd Part 5), who is in charge of series composition, and Hiroto Marufuji (Lupin the 3rd: Goodbye Partner), who is providing the character designs.
Sentai Filmworks explained that Lupin the 3rd Part 6 will stream through select digital outlets with a home video release to follow, and according to the anime's official website, it is scheduled to appear on those outlets sometime in October.
