That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a hit isekai anime starring Rimuru Tempest the slime. He has come a long way since his debut in Episode 1, when he was just a blue slime in a crystal-studded cave. Season 2 saw Rimuru become the leader of the Jura Tempest Federation and a highly skilled politician, but he still has a ways to go.
Season 2 saw many exciting events unfold, from Rimuru becoming a True Demon Lord to the climactic battle in the Animal Kingdom of Eurazania and, of course, Rimuru's final clash with Demon Lord Clayman. Reincarnated as a Slime's second season may be over, but fans still have many lingering questions, and the series left many tantalizing loose ends for future installments to wrap up. Let's go through a few of the biggest plot points still to be resolved.
Will The Falmuth Kingdom Fall After Invading Tempest?
Rimuru's kingdom faced disaster when the Falmuth Kingdom and its Church allies invaded Tempest and laid waste to Rimuru's capital. In response, he took it upon himself to revive the fallen at the expense of all Falmuth and Church troops. But Rimuru didn't stop there -- he formed a cunning plan to invade the Falmuth Kingdom in return and overthrow it, then install Youm the adventurer as the new king.
This would turn Falmuth into a puppet state of sorts, and Rimuru's new ally Diablo came along to yelp Youm accomplish this enormous mission. WhenSeason 2 of Slime ended, this project was still ongoing and the Falmuth Kingdom's fate was undecided. If Rimuru's plan succeeds, he'll gain yet another human kingdom as an ally, while Youm will become king. But it's not yet clear if Youm is ready for his new role -- or if the people of Falmuth will simply accept this.
What Will Rimuru's Adversary Hinata Sakaguchi Do Next?
While not necessarily evil, Hinata Sakaguchi is definitely hostile to Rimuru, and already tried to kill him while the Falmuth/Church army invaded Tempest. Hinata's loyalty lays with the Holy Empire of Ruberios, ruled over by Demon Lord Valentine, and she will slay any monster to defend humanity as a knight commander. Rimuru estimated Hinata would attack Tempest again in the near future, but he will be ready for her. By the end of Season 2, Hinata had not yet made a second incursion into Rimuru's territory, nor is it clear what exactly he will do when and if she does.
Will Rimuru Be Busy With Octogram?
When Rimuru joined Walpurgis, there were 10 Demon Lords -- all of whom had differing views on this newcomer. As Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 wrapped up, the council welcomed Rimuru and shrank to eight total members, being rebranded as the Octogram. The Demon Lords now respect Rimuru more than ever, and could provide him some more political influence in this isekai world.
However, it's not yet clear whether Rimuru will be an active member of Octogram, or a member only on paper while pursuing his own interests elsewhere. Rimuru is a skilled politician, but he might not be ready to handle the likes of Leon Cromwell and Guy Crimson.
What Will Yuuki Kagurazaka Do After Season 2?
Yuuki Kagurazaka was once Rimuru's friend but now they are enemies, and the former schemes to rule the entire isekai world for himself. He manipulated Demon Lord Clayman and the Moderate Harlequin Alliance into helping him, and he also has ties to Kazaream, a former Demon Lord. Yuuki doesn't seem bothered by Clayman's death -- knowing him, he can simply find and recruit another powerful minion.
It's not yet clear what Yuuki will do next or what Rimuru will do in response, but in all likelihood, Yuuki will show the true depths of his depravity. His plans might also involve Kazaream and Demon Lord Valentine given Laplace's repeated recon missions into Ruberios territory, where Valentine rules.
Where Does Luminus Valentine Stand With Rimuru?
Season 2 of Reincarnated as a Slime saw Rimuru meet Roy Valentine -- Demon Lord Luminus Valentine's stand-in -- at Walpurgis, but Laplace soon killed Roy in battle. Luminus Valentine then shed her maid disguise and introduced herself properly, and now Rimuru and viewers alike wonder what her next move is. She has said and done very little to make her stance on Rimuru clear, but given her position in the Holy Empire of Ruberios (Hinata's homeland), she might be hostile to Rimuru and his nation. It's also unclear which other Demon Lords, if any, are Valentine's allies. If she wages war on Rimuru, there's no telling who will aid her, or who would intervene on Rimuru's behalf.
